Kings XI Punjab
The Kings decided to keep their core and not switch up too much, their biggest buy was retaining massive hitter Glenn Maxwell, and picking up West Indian, Sheldon Cottrell. The Kings also retained their opening pairing of KL Rahul, as well as The Universe Boss Chris Gayle.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB spent a record INR 10CR on former Delhi player and South African all-rounder Chris Morris. Additionally, picking up some international stars like Aaron Finch, and Joshua Philippe should add some depth to their floundering batting order.
Chennai Super Kings
The CSK have had a winning core for around a decade of IPL action now, and it makes as little sense to the team as it does to the fans to mess with the combination. They spent most of their cap retaining the centerpieces of their bowling and batting attack, as well as picking up a few subs and temps here and there.
Delhi Capitals
The Delhi Capitals had a fairly eventful offseason, picking up some big names, as well as retaining their young core of Indian strikers. They picked up Ravi Ashwin earlier this year in a trade with Punjab, adding someone to their spin attack. Additionally, picking up Shimron Hetmyer, a batsman from West indies.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers perhaps had the least interesting Draft of any team in the IPL. They retained their dangerous and lethal opening pairing of Aussie David Warner and Brit Johnny Bairstow, as well as their Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson.
Kolkata Knight Riders
KKR had the biggest buy of the entire IPL history, picking up Pat Cummins for a whopping INR 15CR, hopefully, he can carry the worth of his contract on the pitch. The Riders picked up Eoin Morgan from the world cup winning English cricket team, as well as retaining their big centerpieces.
Rajasthan Royals
The Royals put a lot behind retaining their English core of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, seeing as these two gentlemen can set an arena ablaze together with their batting. Additionally, picking up young upstart Mayank Markande from Mumbai, as well as David Miller from Punjab.
Mumbai Indians
Mumbai also decided to retain their core, but picked up one of the most expensive players of the draft, in Nathan Coulter Nile for INR 8CR. Mumbai picked up West Indian Sherfane Rutherford, and Kiwi Trent Boult to add depth to their batting and bowling attacks respectively.
