However, unlike predictably stacked preseasons of the past, this one wasn’t a bust, and actually saw a bunch of bona fide legends switching teams, conferences, and even divisions, surely shaking up the league. Now, with more frontcourt duos than ever before, this season will surely be an offensively explosive ones. However, which teams got the best ends of the deals? Which teams truly used their assets to the max, and signed the best possible talent? We’ve compiled a list of the three best teams presently, ahead of the 2019-2020 NBA season, they are as follows.

Los Angeles Lakers

This is the obvious answer really. When you take the best player in the world, LeBron James, and throw in Anthony Davis, perhaps the best big man in the league, you have a true recipe for success. With LeBron running the offense, and having the option of a big man in the paint, they are sure to be a formidable opponent for any team. Additionally, Kyle Kuzma is one of the best young players in the league, and amidst the chaos of trade season, the Lakers brass made sure to retain this young superstar, adding to the longevity of the team.

Brooklyn Nets

Another extremely obvious choice, seeing as two of the very best players in the world made their way over to what has been a historically deflated and top-heavy Brooklyn squad. Now ousting the Knicks as New York’s favorite team, the Nets have managed to back up star point guard Kyrie Irving from Boston, and an injured legend, Kevin Durant, from the finals contending Golden State Warriors. This is an explosive frontcourt duo, and is nightmare matchup for any NBA team. While KD is currently injured, he will be back for the 2020-2021 season, which will certainly be where the Nets can become contenders again.

Los Angeles Clippers

Finally, we come to the “other” team in Los Angeles, and perhaps the one which will seed them as the best team in the west. Kawhi Leonard famously won a ring in Toronto, and immediately bounced on over to LA, a very rare move in any kind of sport. Additionally, Paul George left OKC Thunder for the Clippers as well, and this big man frontcourt due is set to be one of the very best in the NBA now, seeing two great contenders joining forces.
