Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace
For gearheads all over the nation, stop scratching your head, we know the Tiguan has already been launched in India long back. However, what you may not know is that there are major differences between the Indian Tiguan, and the international one. India originally received a short wheelbase version of the SUV, but Volkswagen seems to be launching the “Allspace” Tiguan soon in India, which is compliant with the international version found in other markets. This SUV has been a great seller for Volkswagen since it’s launch, and this update is sure to give some kind of impetus to the sales.
This is perhaps one of the most anticipated SUV launches in India in the coming months. Crossovers are big sellers in India, since you can get the body and shape of an SUV, with the price just higher than a premium hatch. The T-Cross is based on the two Volkswagen hatchbacks, the Polo, found in India, and the Golf, not found in India yet. This is a crossover version, with larger wheels, wheelbase, roof rails, and SUV stylings and elements. Surely this will be a big seller for Volkswagen group of India, and many consumers have already began buzzing about this SUV prior to it’s launch.
Yet another widely anticipated launch of the Volkswagen group in India. It goes without saying that Skoda is a bestselling brand in the Indian market, and consumers tend to feel a certain affinity to it, since it does have a more luxurious and upmarket feel to it as a brand. The new SUV, the Karoq, is to be positioned below the current Kodiaq, and will compete in the SUV segment currently occupied by the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and many more. This is the most crowded segment in the Indian market presently, so it will be interesting to see how the Karoq puts up against these heavy hitters.
Lastly, we come to the most luxurious and expensive model to be mentioned in this list, which is an offering by the Volkswagen group’s Audi brand. This German manufacturer has seen a lot of success in the Indian market, with it’s luxurious lineup of SUV’s and sedans alike. The Q3 is the entry level SUV for Audi in India, and is one of the most popular luxury cars in this segment. Only one generation of the Q3 has been launched thus far in India, but internationally, the Q3’s 2nd generation was recently launched. Probably, the Q3’s 2nd generation will be launched in India in 2020, and we can’t wait.
